A selection of published works will be available for sale to the public at the MAFAC Arts Center, 109 N Third Street in Marshall and soon in other locations in Southwest Minnesota. Onsite presentations by the authors will provide an enhanced level of understanding of the works.
Read Local will encourage other organizations in the area to coordinate author appearances with the Read Local presentations. The program provides a forum for artists to put their work on display and a market for the public to enjoy it. The benefits of the program include an enrichment of the literature available to the public, encouragement of local authors to produce commercially viable writing and educational opportunities for young people and the public about writing and the writing process.
